Organic Valerian Root/Organic Lemon Balm Mix
Space Kitty Express
This is Space Kitty Express' proprietary blend of Organic Valerian root and Organic Lemon Balm. We created this mixture back when we were selling pure Valerian Root toys, because we got some customer complaints that our Valerian Root was too stinky. Lemon Balm isn't a psychotropic herb for cats, but they do enjoy its scent, and it partially masks the smell to Valerian Root to humans. The Lemon Balm leaves are covered in Valerian Root dust and infused with the scent, they are a great carrier for the real star of the show that cats have no trouble picking up with their sensitive noses.
Many cats find this blend calming and we have seen many cats who enjoy curling up for a nap and burying their nose in Valerian Root toys after a little play session. Other cats go wild and bat our toys around like with any other Cat Herb. Please remember that some cats may not react to Valerian Root, just like some cats do not react to Catnip, Honeysuckle, or Silver Vine, it depends on their genetic disposition. We sell sample packs with different combinations of herbs so you can find out what herbs excite your kitty.
You can put this mix in one of our refillable toys (for an additional $2.50) that you'll be able to use again and again. Many customers have reported that our toys continue to get feline attention for many months, even after a year of being in their house. You can also revitalize your cats interest in any of their old toys by placing the old toys in an airtight container with our Valerian Root/Lemon Balm mix overnight. You can also just sprinkle some on your cats favorite scratcher, in their cat bed, or just on the floor. It is ok for cats to eat small amounts of Lemon Balm and Valerian Root, but they are carnivores after all, so large amounts may upset their stomach and we do not recommend it.
